I don't know about you but I am big into listening to music when I am running. I find that DJ mixes work well for running because they are continuous music. Generally, they are built around a theme and they are a cohesive yet evolving mix of music. In other words they build up in intensity and also mellow over a few tracks instead of jumping from Punk to Reggae (both of which I enjoy running to). Here are 5 amazing mixes by our late friend DJ AM. Each of these mixes are at least an hour long. These are true gems. Great for running or hitting the gym too. To get them on your ipod or mp3 player, follow the download instructions and then drag them into your itunes library or whatever music program you use. FYI, DJ AM posted these mixes himself for people to enjoy for free. The last mix was made about a month before he passed away.
